Revised Disconnect Policy

We have revised section 6.2. (02) of our Rules and Regulations as it pertains to Disconnection of Service for residential customers. Effective January 1, 2021
 
We have revised section 6.2. (02) of our Rules and Regulations as it pertains to  Disconnection of Service for residential customers. Under the old policy any residential account with a balance after 60 days was subject to termination. The revised policy, as shown below or found here, removes the the 60 day time frame criteria and is replaced with instead a $50 statement balance. 


Residential Customers- If accounts have a past due balance of $50 or more, the District shall have the right to terminate water service for nonpayment.  The District will send the Customer a separate late notice.  The District shall not be liable for any damages to a Customer’s property caused by the termination of water service for nonpayment.
